Staff Bios
Dana Schroeder
Administrator
Dana came to Georgia Spine in June 2010 and brings with him several years of professional business experience. In addition to working as an Administrator for a neurosurgical practice for the past seven years, he has five years experience working for a major bank as both a Branch Manager and Account Executive. His experience in both healthcare and finance prove invaluable in overseeing the operational, human resource and financial dynamics of the practice. In his free time, Dana enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.
Tashara Hall
Medical Assistant
Tashara Hall joined Georgia Spine & Neurosurgery Center in early 2008 and is a dynamic member of our team. She works as the medical assistant to Drs. Khajavi and Gullick, as well as the surgery coordinator. Tashara is truly a "go to" person in our practice and has the reputation of getting things done in a most efficient manner. Tashara lives on the south side of Atlanta with her family and enjoys the outdoors.
Melissa Eason
Billing and Collections
Melissa came to Georgia Spine & Neurosurgery Center in 2008 with a wealth of knowledge of the insurance and billing process. As our billing coordinator, her duties entail, insurance verifications, referrals, claim submission, claim-follow-up, appeals, and collections. She has put that knowledge to work at the front desk as well, in benefit of our patients. Melissa graduated in May 2010 and has a Bachelors degree of Arts and Science in Psychology and plans to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology.
Annette Strachan
Front Office
Annette joined Georgia Spine & Neurosurgery Center in July 2009. She has had the pleasure of working in the healthcare industry for 8 years, previously at Dekalb Medical Center's Rehab Results Group. At Georgia Spine, Annette is the front office coordinator which entails answering phones, making patient arrangements, reviewing and receiving necessary documents for your care, along with coordinating outside testing for our patients. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family.
Jackie Esparza
Medical Assistant
Jackie recently joined Georgia Spine & Neurosurgery Center as one of the back office Medical Assistants. Having 7 years of MA experience in Pediatric's she is very excited to get into this new specialty and learn new and challenging things. She also has 1 year experience as Scheduling Supervisor but prefers the patient contact as a medical assistant. Jackie is currently attending college at Chattahoochee Tech. then plans on transferring to Kennesaw State University where she will be pursuing her Bachelor's in Nursing. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her 2 kids and husband.
Cheryl Haney
Front Office
Cheryl joined Georgia Spine & Neurosurgery Center in August 2010. She works in our Front Office handling responsibilities such as answering your calls, making appointments and various other patient related duties. During her free time, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her 3 daughters. She also enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, camping and LOVES Georgia Football!!!
