Dr. Richard Gullick received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Gullick completed his neurosurgical residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and his research fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. While at Walter Reed, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery and Research Assistant Professor of Pathology.

Dr. Gullick entered active duty with the United States Army in 2001. He was stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and then to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Gullick completed a tour of duty in Iraq in 2004. He returned stateside and served as the chief of neurosurgery at Brooke Army Medical Center from 2004 until he became a civilian in 2008.

Dr. Gullick specializes in the treatment of disorders of the spine, brain and peripheral nerves. He is certified by the American Board of Neurologic Surgeons. He has a special interest in minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of these disorders. Dr. Gullick joined Georgia Spine & Neurosurgery Center in July, 2008 after leaving the Army.
